Michaela Emm-Evans
Michaela Emm-Evans (BSc, PG Dip) is the Director of SLT Solutions. She qualified in 1997 from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Michaela completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Communication from City University in 2007.
During 20 years of practice Michaela has worked within a range of settings including acute hospitals, stroke units, specialist rehabilitation services such as the Kemsley unit, St Andrews Hospital for people with complex needs following brain injury, including severe challenging behaviour and mental illness. Michaela also has vast experience of working with clients within their own homes and providing consultancy Speech and Language Therapy services into a range of health care services. Michaela was the Group Speech and Language Therapy Lead for a specialist neurological rehabilitation service before leaving to pursue her private practice.
Michaela is a specialist in working with adults with acquired brain injuries. She has been working as a treating therapist with case managers, solicitors and multidisciplinary teams on medico legal cases since 2004. Michaela ensures that she works collaboratively with the client and family on functional goals to make a positive impact on day to day functioning.
Michaela is a member of the ABI Clinical Excellence Network, the British Aphasiology Society and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.
Our Team
Speech and Language Therapy Solutions has a team of Associate Speech and Language Therapists all who are specialists in working with people with acquired neurological conditions. Our Associates are registered with HCPC, the ICO and have a valid DBS certificate.
Speech and Language Therapy Solutions therapists are evidence-based practitioners who are client centred in their approach to assessment and treatment. All of our Associates have experience of working with people with complex brain injury and working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team. We are able to match the client to the Therapist in order to best meet their needs.
